Growth Factor Concentrate (GFC)
A treatment for hair which typically uses biologically active proteins to stimulate hair growth and improve scalp health.
It aims to enhance cellular regeneration, increase blood circulation to hair follicles and prolonged the hair growth cycle.
Pre-Treatment Instructions (GFC Hair Therapy):
- Hydrate well: Drink at least 2–3 liters of water per day for 2 days
before your treatment. - Avoid alcohol and smoking for at least 48 hours prior.
- Discontinue blood thinners such as aspirin, ibuprofen, or fish oil
supplements for 5–7 days before treatment, unless prescribed by your
doctor. - Wash your hair and scalp/face gently on the day of the procedure.
- Avoid applying hair oils, serums, or makeup to the treatment area.
- Inform your doctor if you have a history of fainting or dizziness during
blood draws.
Post-Treatment Instructions (GFC Hair Therapy):
Do not wash your hair or scalp for 48 hours post-treatment.
Avoid heavy sweating, gym workouts, or swimming for 3 days.
Refrain from using hair oils, serums, or minoxidil for at least 48 hours.
Expect mild tenderness, swelling, or redness — this is normal and temporary.
After 48 hours, use only a mild shampoo to cleanse the scalp.
Avoid hair coloring or chemical treatments (e.g., keratin, rebonding) for 7–10 days.
